2009/2010 JUNIOR LEASE PROGRAM
As a way to encourage even more families to take their kids skiing and snowboarding this coming Olympic season, we here at Gord's have decided to drop our Junior Lease rates this year to a ridiculously low, never-before seen
$99 a year rate for the entire 2009/2010 season! Yes, you read right! That's a dollar less than a hundred bucks to equip your kid with state-of-the-art skis, boots and bindings or Snowboard, boots and bindings! It's almost too good to be true! Hurry in to our Donald store though because quantities are limited!

This is the year we remove the cost excuse! ALL OUR JUNIOR LEASE JR EQUIPMENT PACKAGES ARE $99 (see lower for details).

Yes, you could still buy cheap rental gear and fit your
kid a couple sizes up... so he or she can grow into it .... BUT WHY? Nothing works better than properly fitting equipment. We have an affordable way of helping you
do that, with our affordable JUNIOR LEASE PROGRAM!

MEMBERSHIP HAS ITS PRIVILEDGES

With our rate scale (see below) Kids can now stay on the program up-to and INCLUDING the age of 16!
Unlimited use of boots, bindings and skis or board until the end of the season
Skis and boards are guaranteed tuned and waxed plus bindings adjusted and verified at the start of each season.
The flexibility to exchange any component of the gear rented for a different size at any time during the season at NO CHARGE.
The ability to switch one time only per season, (subject to availability) from skis to snowboards mid-season!
In-Season Binding adjustments at NO EXTRA CHARGE.
No Size restrictions.
Buy out option: Equity: You are entitled to a credit towards the purchase of ski/snowboard equipment at Gord’s once the child wants his own gear! (Half of your last season’s payment towards a full package). See at the bottom of this page for details.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEED: If you are in any way dissatisfied with the equipment supplied, please let us know so we can make it right

THEFT: If you have any part of your equipment stolen, you must pay for it (Equipment is your responsibility).

DAMAGE: If you damage the equipment in any way you must pay for repairs.

RETURN OF EQUIPMENT: If you fail to return the equipment before APRIL 20 you WILL be charged for the full retail value of leased equipment.

MAINTENANCE: You must maintain your equipment in proper working order, this may include regular tune-ups and waxes.

EQUIPMENT SELECTION: We reserve the right to make the final decision on equipment selection.

POLES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN JUNIOR LEASE.

GUARANTEE: Valid credit card and photo ID must be presented every year of junior lease registration

NOTE: THE GEAR ON THIS PROGRAM IS PROPERLY SERVICED, WELL TUNED USED EQUIPMENT.

> You always have the option of opting out of the junior lease program… at any time.

> We offer NO REFUNDS on any lease or rental. What we do offer are these two options:

[A] The mid-season opt-out option: This allows a family to exit the lease program mid-season with an 80% credit of the amount they paid towards a new package. EXAMPLE: Bobby got rental gear on the JUNIOR LEASE PROGRAM on December 1 (paid $239.95) and used it until January 15 and on that date decided he would like instead to own his own board/binding/boot. On the day he returns the leased equipment to purchase a COMPLETE package (complete package* means board/binding/boot) he is entitled to a credit of $191.96 to apply towards a complete package*… Provided, of course, the board is returned in good condition.

[B] The BUY-OUT OPTION: This program gives you the option to not re-join the JUNIOR LEASE PROGRAM with a 80% credit (towards a NEW package*) of what your last season's pay-in was. This option is only available to those who were in the program the previous year and will not be returning onto the JUNIOR LEASE PROGRAM because they would rather own their own equipment.

*This option has to be exercised before the end of January of the following season that the individual was signed up for the JUNIOR LEASE PROGRAM.
*Packages are indivisible and must be regular-priced current year new product
*These options can not be applied to partial packages nor can they be exchanged for cash or store credit.

	. GORD'S HALF BACK JR PROGRAM The perfect option for those of you who would prefer new or higher-end racing stuff: Just buy whatever custom ski or board package you want (provided it's Junior equipment) and bring it back next year before December first and we'll give you a credit for 50% of whatever you paid (before taxes) towards purchase of your next package. Simple, cost-effective and NEW! Here's how Gord's Junior half-back program works: [1] Pick out your gear, mention to the salesperson that you'd like to participate in our half-back program. [2] Use the equipment for one year, return it before November 15 of the following season. [3] As long as the equipment is still in good working order as long it has been maintained and not been abused we'll gladly give you 50% credit of what you paid towards ski or snowboard equipment. RACE RENTALS We try hard to supply those families who would rather rent than purchase race gear but let's be honest here, if your kid is racing,nothing beats a good pair of junior race skis and boots properly sized and fitted. Rentals are an economicaloption but the very design of rental bindings precludes the kind of transfer of energy that is required for a child to perform at a competitive level. Having said that, we do have higher performance equipment available in our Junior Lease fleet, it falls into the "High Performance Lease" heading on the price list to the left of this column. WHY ARE POLES NOT INCLUDED? Simple. because poles get lost, broken and stolen. Plus many folks believe that poles for wee ones simply get in the way. If you would like to purchase poles for your kid in Junior Lease simply mention it to one of our staff and we'll gladly offer you 25% off of the regular price on poles. A FEW ANSWERS TO SOME RECENT JR LEASE QUESTIONS Q: Once I sign up for the lease program at the current $99 rate, do I keep that rate as long as stay in the program? A: This rate is for the 2009/2010 season and may or may not be extended past this season since this is a money-losing offer. Q: How old is the equipment that we would get? A: The equipment we offer is rarely older than 3 years old, we retire equipment when it becomes damaged beyond repair, unsafe or falls below our strict benchmarks. Q: Are the skis you lease shaped skis? A: We do not have any "straight" skis and have not rented "straight" skis since 1996. So yes, these are QUALITY shaped skis. Q: When would one get signed into this program? How early in the fall? A: Skis are available now. Q: What would the average cost be for buying a boot, ski and binding package for a 4 year old? A: Boots of comparable quality to what we rent: $119-$149, skis and bindings of comparable quality to what we rent: $219-$299 RENTAL REMINDERS Here are a few things you may want to keep in mind when renting gear anywhere... More specificaly from Gord's: 1. TRANSPORTING OF RENTALS So you and the buddies want to head out to Banff for three days of WOOHOO... riding and skiing. If you're going to fly or strap your gear to the roof of your uncles' Ford Exploder, here's one thing you gotta know: It's your responsibility to transport your skis or your rented board in a proper ski or snowboard BAG. You can buy them, we rent them... but the plastic bag that Air Canada supplies is not acceptable. You are responsible for all damage occurred during transport. Remember that. 2. RENTAL INSURANCE No, we don't offer rental insurance. Should you be worried about theft of equipment, we sell great locks from Kryptonite for the same price as what other operations charge you for rental insurance. Plus, check with your credit card company... more often than not, one of your cards includes rental insurance. As far as damage to your equipment, if you should happen to have a mishap... we charge a discounted rate on repairs to equipment whe it's returned. 3. MAINTENANCE If you should happen to be renting gear for an extended period of time (like our Junior Lease program) you are 100% responsible for the maintenance of said equipment. It's just like renting or leasing a car ... You have to make sure it's serviced in order not to be charged extra for repairs. 4. OPTION TO BUY If you are renting demo equipment and you decide that you'd like to buy the gear you just rented (or something similar), you do have the option of applying 75% of your rental towards purchase of NEW equipment. This is only available to ONE rental period (your latest one) and it is only available for 72 hours following the return of said equipment. Consult one of our staff for details. 5. SPECIFIC GEAR REQUESTS If you've rented skis last year and you'd like to re-rent exactly the same equipment this year we may be able to accommodate you PROVIDED you kept your rental slip from last year. Starting next year we'll be able to facilitate that thanks to our computerized rental system. If you want to reserve for several trips coming up within the current season, we can accommodate that quite simply by you doing several pre-paid reservations.
